Quiltface Studios. The brainchild of Artist, Illustrator, and Graphic Designer Chris Garofalo.
Quiltface’s Tumblr “About Me” section pretty much sums it up: “Highly Elusive, Dangerously Creative. Diabolical Graphic Designer of Horror/Pop Culture posters. Ink on Paper. Disgusting, Revolting, but Genuinely Arousing.“
We’re huge fans of Quiltface and the work produced by Chris, and we also love how energetic and genuinely excited he is to promote not only his own work but the work of the scene in general. Whether it be a release from Poster Posse or an up-and-coming illustrator showing their first piece on Twitter, Chris is always one of the first to say “Great job!“.
The prints produced by Quiltface are rough, jagged, seemingly greasy. There’s something dirty about the prints…almost as if the ink is still wet and viscous, wanting to stain your white t-shirt that you just purchased at J. Crew. The Pop-Culture icons on display reflect that air of pollution…serial killers, slashers, werewolves. Icons of horror pulled off with such genius by Quiltface. The Godzilla piece alone should make Quiltface a household name.
We’re very excited to spotlight some work from Quiltface Studios, and we’re gearing up to have a webcast/podcast with Chris and a special co-host in the coming weeks. For now, feast your eyes upon the amazing work that is Chris Garofalo and Quiltface Studios!
